CATALINA LIGHTING INC SELECTS ALLEN & CARON FOR CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS, INVESTOR & MEDIA RELATIONS

           MIAMI (November 4, 2002) … Catalina Lighting Inc (Nasdaq:CALA), a leading international designer, manufacturer, and distributor of lighting products for residential and office environments, announced today that it has selected Allen & Caron Inc as its corporate communications, investor relations and media relations agency.

  Catalina’s diverse product line is comprised primarily of table and floor lamps; lighting fixtures, including ceiling, wall, recessed, vanity and track lighting fixtures; emergency and outdoor lighting; and chandeliers, and is sold through a variety of retailers. The Company also produces industrial consumables, products for the automotive aftermarket, and train and bus lighting. Catalina’s UK-based Ring Limited is a wholesaler and distributor; its Chinese subsidiary, Go-Gro Industries Ltd, operates as an original equipment manufacturer, but also purchases products from independent suppliers.
